Biography:

Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo Pallás was born on March 26, 1948 in Mexico City. He was the son of both actors, Oscar Ortiz de Pinedo y Lupita Pallás. He was a member of a modest family who resided in the “Barrio de La Lagunilla.” Jorge had his first debut as an actor in a movie when he was only 8 years old. At 14 he was acting for the first time on the stage in theatres. At fifteen, he was off to live on his own and make his money through theatre performances. As the years passed, the number of projects he was working on grew enormously. He has become an extremely familiar face on television through telenovelas and other shows like “Cero en Conducta” and “Humor es. . . Los Comediantes.” Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo has filmed around 20 movies and has recorded around 25 telenovelas. He has also established himself as a director, producer, and writer.
