Biography:

Jay de la Cueva is a Mexican producer, singer, bass player, drummer, guitarist, pianist and songwriter. His first musical experience was with the rock band M.I.C.R.O.C.H.I.P.S. in which he was a bass player. During his participation in this band he received the nickname "Yei" which later became known as Jay. He was in the band from Niños Electricos through No Somos Numeros. His second musical experience was with the Mexican rock band Victimas del Dr. Cerebro.

He was on the original alineation of Molotov, playing the drums, along with Miki Huidobro. Miki's brother, Fobia's Paco Huidobro needed a drummer too and called Jay to join them. Jay is the drummer on 1997 Fobia's live album Fobia On Ice, after which the band separated

During the halt he created a band called Moderatto with other two members of Fobia and their first famous song was "Isabel" (a cover from Luis Miguel), he has another band called Titán, which became famous during the late 1999 and early 2000. In 2003 Fobia reunited with Jay on the drums.
