Biography:

Austin started as a band back in October 2001, with the line-up: Chato(guitar), Chiosan(synthesizer), Isachar(guitar), Pasa(bass) and Xna Yer(drums). “We decided to be an instrumental band, trying to express everything through music without vocals. There are as many interpretations as listeners to the same song, which tends to be difficult with the lyrics. Since then, we have tried to make every show a new experience for everyone wearing several disguises for each show. We have tried to create an Austin TV sub-world relating our music to all kinds of artistic expressions such as theatre and plastic arts, resources we feel identified with.Lately, Pasa left the band, and Rata joined as the new bass player contributing with freshness and new ideas for the group.

Austin tv has had the opportunity of sharing the stage with awesome bands like: Y o la tengo, Mogwai, The Killers, Incubus, Jhon Cale (Velvet Underground), The Album Leaf, Pit Er Pat,The Bravery, Tristeza, Metric, The stills, Phoenix ,Babasonicos, Zoe, Molotov,Vaquero, Murcof, San Pacualito Rey, Plastilina Mosh, Delorean, Boom Boom kid, Hummersqueal, Sad breakfast, Molotov, Porter, Los latigos, Los abandoned, Telefunka, Jos Agustn (The writer), Sonido Lasser Drakar, Los Fancy Free, Nia, Division Minuscula, Childs, Meet your feebles, Sizu (Cafe Tacvba), among others.
